BURNIE WOMEN'S BADMINTON CLUB

Feel free to join this club for social badminton, a fun time and exercise. Casual clothing, non-marking sandshoes and a racquet are required, although racquets can be supplied.

When: Tuesdays 9.30am - 12.30pm (except school holidays)

Where: Burnie Sports Centre, Southwell Street, Burnie

NW RECREATIONAL CYCLING GROUP

Cycle on the last Sunday of each month

Start at a different coastal town each month

Distances offered include a short ride (10-20kms) and a longer more challenging ride (40-50kms)

BURNIE CROQUET CLUB

Croquet is an outdoor recreational game and a competitive sport that involves hitting wooden or plastic balls with a mallet through hoops embedded in the grass playing arena.

Cost: $1 per session

Mini Moves is a physical activity program for children aged between 5-12 years focusing on fun fitness. The Mini Moves physical activity program provides a fun way for children to be physically active without fear of failure nor the negative aspects of sport.

CITY OF BURNIE BRASS BAND

City of Burnie Brass Band is over 100 years old and caters for learners of any age and experienced players. The band practices on Thursday nights at the bandroom on Parsenage Point and plays at many functions throughout the year. Instruments and uniforms are provided. Burnie Concert Band facilitates tuition in playing a wide range of instruments and provides the opportunity to play a range of musical styles as part of a significant ensemble. The Somerset Surf Life Saving Club provides a valuable community service by ensuring our beaches are safe over summer. Juniors from 7 years of age are most welcome to join this family friendly club.
